WHAT IS AN ESCAPE GAME OR ESCAPE ROOM?
An escape room or escape game is a unique experience for small teams. You have limited time to solve a series of logic puzzles to complete your mission or to be able to exit the room. Our game masters provide you with a special story and a mission that creates a truly immersive experience and they also provide you with hints during the game if you run out of ideas. This new form of entertainment is fun for everyone who wants to put
WHO IS IT FOR?
It's for anyone open to new, innovative forms of entertainment and excited about taking on new challenges! At Exit the Room the fun is guaranteed! Friends, families, colleagues and groups of students all equally have a great time in our escape rooms!
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEAM SIZE? WHAT IS THE IDEAL TEAM SIZE?
The minimum is 2 people and the maximum is usually 5 or 6, but it is based on room size and it differs in every city. You will be able to check the maximum allowed team size when selecting a room and a ticket during the online booking process. We recommend that you try and assemble a team of 5 or 6 people to maximize the fun and to get the best value.
Also keep in mind, that the fewer you are, the harder it gets to solve the puzzles and to get out in time.
WE ARE MORE THAN THE ROOMS MAXIMUM CAPACITY. CAN YOU MAKE AN EXCEPTION IN THIS CASE?
Our room capacities are calculated based on the room sizes in order to maximize fun and to keep things safe. We suggest, that in case your team is over the limit you play in two different rooms at the same time to get the most out of this unique experience.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT?
The minimum age requirement to play at Exit the Room is 14 years. Players below 14 years of age can play too, but only with parental supervision.
I WOULD LIKE TO BRING KIDS WITH ME. WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED MINIMUM AGE?
We can only allow children above 14 to play without parental supervision, but you can bring younger children with you. Although please keep in mind, that our games have complex puzzles and children under 10 might not enjoy them.

CAN WE COME OUTSIDE OPENING HOURS?
If you plan to book more than one game during the same time slot or if you would like to make reservations for a teambuilding event we can make that happen, but this requires some planning in advance. Please get in touch with us on our teambuilding page here.
ARE THE GAMES SCARY?
No, not at all! Our goal is to create an awesome and fun experience for all ages. You enter the room, the clock starts ticking and you get lost in your imagination. You start solving puzzles in order to be able to complete your mission or escape the room.
The Zombies and stuff won't bite :)
HOW BIG ARE THE ROOMS? WILL I FEEL TRAPPED?
They vary pending the room you choose and the city, but usually around 10-20m2
CAN WE PLAY IN ENGLISH?
Sure! Our games don't require any language skills but our game masters can give you hints in English if it's needed.
CAN I COME WHEN I'M PREGNANT?
Yes, our rooms are totally safe even if you're expecting! You won't need to use force and our rooms are not scary at all.

CAN WE BRING A BABY WITH US?
Yes, we'd love to have you, but we don't have the capacity to babysit your child and we don't have any child play areas either, so keep that in mind when bringing your little darlings.
CAN I BRING A DOG?
Yes, sure, but please be prepared to take care of your dog on your own and bring a muzzle to ensure the safety of other players.
WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I WEAR?
You're free to wear any casual clothing you like. You won't need to use force, but you should be able to move or bend down with ease.
CAN WE HAVE A BIRTHDAY / BACHELOR / BACHELORETTE PARTY AT EXIT THE ROOM?
Yes, sure! You will have a great time, but please keep in mind that due to safety reasons we can't allow players under the influence of alcohol or drugs to participate. These players will be asked to leave the game and we will not be able to give you a refund.
CAN WE EAT OR DRINK AT THE STORE?
Yes, you're free to bring anything with you, but at the moment we don't offer food or drinks at the store.
ARE WE REALLY CLOSED IN THE ROOM?
No. Doors are never locked. In the unlikely event of a blackout they open automatically.
HOW DO YOU GUARANTEE THE PLAYERS' SAFETY DURING THE GAME?
We always take extra care of our players. A Closed Circuit Camera System, panic buttons, a fire alarm and extinguishers are provided for your safety.
CAN WE PLAY IN TWO ROOMS AT THE SAME TIME?
Simultaneous escaping is only possible if you are playing the first or the last game that day. In any other occasions please wait 15-30 between the two games.
IS THE GAME FREE UNDER A CERTAIN AGE?
Escape games are free for children under 6.
Are the venues and rooms accessible?
Basically all of our venues are located in basements, hence they are not wheelchair accessible.

HOW CAN I BOOK A GAME?
You can book your game easily in a few minutes on our website. Just click "booking" at the top menu, select your appointment, your room and the number of players you'll be coming with and after adding your contact information your booking is complete! It's as easy as 1,2,3. :)
DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?
Our games our extremely popular and usually we're booked for weeks in advance. Because of this at the moment we usually can't accept walk-ins! Click here and book an appointment in less than 3 minutes!
HOW CAN I MODIFY MY APPOINTMENT?
You can modify your appointment, if there is still at least 24 hours left, but this requires paying an administrative fee.
HOW CAN I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?
You can cancel your appointment providing it is over 24 hours before
your game is due to start.

We send a confirmation email after every booking. If you haven't received this after a few minutes, then first please check your promotion code and your spam folders, if you still can't find it there, then please contact our customer service here: info@exittheroom.hu

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?
You can pay with credit/debit card or PayPal during the booking process, or with cash or SZÉP card at the venue. You can only pay with SZÉP-card at two of our Budapest locations (Csengery street 76 and Nagy Diófa street 4) and two of our Debrecen locations (Péterfia street 39 and Miklós street 34).

HOW CAN I BUY A TICKET AS A GIFT?
The easiest way to buy a gift voucher is through our website's "voucher" menu. You can choose from many different designs suited for most occasions.
Go with a digital voucher, pay online and receive your gift card within minutes of your purchase.
You can also select a printed gift voucher, which can be ordered online and paid for in our store.
You can also walk into our store and buy a gift voucher from our game masters. Please note, that we only accept cash in our stores!
MY COUPON / VOUCHER IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE AND I CAN'T FIND FREE APPOINTMENTS.
WHAT CAN I DO?
You need to use your voucher and book an appointment before the expiration date. But the appointment can be after the expiration date and since you can book for up to 90 days in advance we're 100% sure that you'll be able to find a free appointment. :)
HOW LONG IS MY COUPON/VOUCHER VALID?
Your coupon/voucher is valid until the expiration date displayed on the front or the back. You need to book your appointment before the expiration date, but the appointment can be at any time.
I HAVE PURCHASED A TICKET OR RECEIVED A TICKET AS A GIFT, BUT I CAN'T REDEEM THE CODE.

Sorry, but you can't. If your ticket can be upgraded, then our system will offer you an upgrade during the booking process.
I BOUGHT A TICKET, BUT I WANT TO BRING AN EXTRA PERSON. CAN I DO THAT?
Yes, sure! You're welcome to bring an extra, but you'll have to pay 2.000 Ft for each additional person.
Please don't forget to check the maximum room capacity in advance!
I DIDN'T RECEIVE MY DIGITAL GIFT VOUCHER AFTER THE PURCHASE. WHAT CAN I DO?
You'll receive an automatic email from us shortly containing your digital gift voucher. Please wait 5-10 minutes and don't forget to check your spam folder. If you still didn't receive the email, then please contact us here: info@exittheroom.hu and we'll help you out!
CAN I USE ONE VOUCHER FOR MORE ROOMS?
Unfortunately, no. One voucher can only be used for one room.
